Is anyone running the kelford 264h camshafts with stock springs for low power street usage? I have another project car and don't want to add springs if possible and have these cams I can use instead of selling them.

I run Kelford 264's in my auto car but did put aftermarket springs on at the same time. My son ran BC280s with stock springs on his 97 TSI auto car. It never floated but IDK how far he was revving that engine. That car ran easy 12's.
I believe this is his car with the BC280s in the motor, during a little fun with me. Looks like he was turning it 7500 on stock springs. I took it easy on him. 😎 ROFL He swore I turned the boost up but I was only running 25lbs at that time.

This car will be used to just cruise around town and travel 200 miles every week. It's a low power engine and won't even see 5800 rpm but will mostly spend it's remaining days between 2500-5000 rpm due to the hwy speed

IMO, if you are only running the engine as you described, there is no need for aftermarket cams.

If you don't have any stock cams, then I get it. Free is good! 👍
You won't float the valves at the level you are going to be running the car at if 5500 is the top rpm's. You won't be getting the most out of them at that upper limit (I turn my 264s to 9k) but they do idle good and drive nice.
