2G 2150cc FIC vs 1650cc FIC

Hey guys hope everyone is doing well & staying safe out there.

I'll be upgrading my injectors soon so I can make some more power and I'm doing some browsing on the FIC website.

I'm just wondering if anyone else noticed this, the 1650 FIC injectors are going for $840 while the 2150 are going for $815.. Is there a reason for this? I can see both are High-Z

Does one idle better than the other or is this a price mistake from FIC?

Different model and generation. The 1650 is newer and is compatible with oxygenated fuel. The 2150 is older and is not compatible with oxygenated fuel.

You wanna run pump gas, race gas, or e85. That’ll settle it for you.

Stainless steel internals fir the 1650, some people have corrosion issues on e85 with the 2150.

It comes down to your goals with the car.. If the 1650 support what you want then just get those.. They will also be easier to tune.

IMO 1650cc. 2150cc Not recommended for race gas

2150 are fine with race gas just not ones with maybe. The oxygenated fule like vp import and q16 are not applicable with the 2150. 1650 will take anything you can throw at it.

Depends on the goal but definitely I would go the 1650 if the 1650 would cover the goal. The low-z 1800 could also be your option if low-z is ok with you. The low-z 1800 is much much better than old school big low−z injectors like the Bosch 1600.

I run the 2150cc. Both sizes are equally easy to tune and drive with great manners. I run nothing but E85 but i also when storing the car pull injectors clean then and spray wd40 into them and put them in sealed bag.

Tuned right and pickled, my 2150s are a very nice set for my FlexFuel car.
No issues here.

I really should get my car on the dyno sometime soon but scared to see what this stock trans is seeing for power . But im at 70% IDC on 2150cc so enough to hurt it i bet .

62mm hx40 in .82 housing. There is no data on what it can flow but it appears 70+lb/min is capable.

Interesting. I’ll eventually be running a 63mm turbo that can flow 78lb/min. Was hoping I won’t come close to running out of injector

I am running the same thing as @jed344. Not seeing his flow numbers but mid 50's and she pulls HARD, VERY HARD at only 24 lbs. If I get my other issues lined out, I'll crank up the boost. My Scramble Boost button allows me to push 33 lbs but I don't feel like she needs it. I don't have my latest pull but my IDC's are mid 50's to low 60's currently.

2150s here on flex fuel setup, hx40 soon to be morrison t3 70 , housing soon, and to get tuned locallay here by force engineering.

70% isn’t bad. That last 20% goes a long way on 2150cc. This turbo feels weak till around 30psi and it wakes up a ton.

For every one pound after 35, I could really feel and see it in my logs when I was pushing up to 44 lbs boost so I sure agree about it "waking up"!
