whats the part number of an original Mitsubishi 20g turbo and how to differ form the looks between a 20g and other turbos

Doesn't anybody search anymore?

Here's the basic VFAQ turbo comparison...

I'm not sure about the part number though.. and as far as looks go, it will have a larger compressor housing...

Hello
MHI doesn't make a 20g turbo-the only 20g turbos in the states are made by shops. They just stick a 20g wheel on a td05h unit. Most 20g turbos have garrett housings, and have a open type compressor outlet versus a compressor outlet with two screw holes drilled and tapped into the end.

This is so wrong its not even funny.

The 20G is a MHI part made for the Mitsubishi Fuso. The center section is direct from MHI as a TDO6H unit, and also made as a TDO5H. They don't use garrett housing, they are a complete mitsu unit, the Mitsu logo on the comp cover gives that one away ;)

I have a 20G sitting on my coffee table right now and there is a pic of one in this thread. I was wondering if you could tell what the logo looks like towards the top of the compressor right after the cast in wording? :shhh:

I have a feeling that your stay here will be short lived and all the "work" you have done to prove your point is other threads will just a waste of time.

Ok, cool. mitsubishi makes a td05h 20g turbo. What's the part number again? I'll look it up.

hey, you're right-that IS a td06 cover....the plot thickens!

PS that was a pretty stupid post by me-of course mitsubishi makes a 20g turbo-I meant they don't make a td05h 20g turbo. tc.com usually uses a garrett c cover (as does buschur etc.) SBR uses a MHI. Are you sure you don't have a td06 20g? 'cause the exducer on a td06 20g wheel is way different than the smaller 20g wheel.....

Man, DSM forums used to be WAY cooler than this. I wonder what happened? Too much "you're a idiot" or "I'm smarter than you," not enough "you're wrong" or "well, if you look at the facts."

And what was the "work" i was trying to do? http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=177213&goto=newpost

You, sir, are the one who brought this upon yourself. The eyes of scrutiny have been cast upon you by your own request. You started a thread basically calling out an other vendor who has, to the best of my knowledge, been a truthful source. You were in one thread and started another just to try and prove, not only your point, but your credibilty. When someone comes on and does that I tend to look at other post they have made to see if they truly are a credible source. So far you arent doing well.

It has nothing to do with who is smarter. It has to do with good information. Here we give facts to others not something we pulled out of our ass. If you want your reputation and your shops reputation to be a bit brighter than they are now, I would think a bit more before posting.

Edited for a more well thought out response.
