2.4L Swap [MERGED 3-28-09]

Alright so here is the deal.... I been looking to build a motor for my car for awhile then my moms car blew the motor then i came to realize hey maybe it will work with my car..... What I want to do it use her 2.4l block with my 2.0l head will that work? and there both dohc but I heard the wiring would be a pain... but will that work or what changes would I need to do? ### I have to block and everything just wondering if it would be a dirrect bolt on or not?

alright so I got the information i need on making a 2.4l in my 98 eagle talon... now for the question will there even be a diffrence I mean is it even worth doing or should I just sell it and finish my turbo setup?

ya I noticed the link after I said that... But does anyone know how much hp/trq or what the compression should be stock with the 2.4l swap?

hmm that didnt really seem like it would make much diffrence I think Im just going to continue the turbo process and maybe do that later

All variables the same, the 2.4 will make more torque.

Ya I did see the torqe change... but i still think im going to finish the turbo now... and just build my 2.4l motor plus its going to be a pain trying to mod the oil pan

Ah, but you, my friend, are wrong... My 1.3L will beat you through just about any road thats filled with corners. And my new 2.0L (3 rotor single turbo/GT40R) will be a beast on the strights... (insert evil laugh)
