I notice some ticking in my 500 awhp slow boy racing engine. I pulled the pan and popped the caps of 1 and 4 were damaged from one of the oil squirters going thru the system. I didnt spin any bearings but number 4 had a nice gouge in it. I think it is too bad to just polish is out and throw new bearings in. This was a brand new OEM 4g64 crank which slow boy says they dont make anymore. I have found a site that sells regrind 4g64 cranks I was wondering if anybody has used these cranks and would recommend it. The eagle crank runs 550 but from my tuner Lucus from English Racing he states they need to be properly fitted as the eagle cranks can sometimes be difficult. I would like to know should I throw this Regrind in or a eagle.
