All my mods are in my profile. First off, I have a horrible idle that I haven't been able to diagnose yet. I have to give it a little gas when it first starts to keep it from stalling out, and then it will idle at 700 or so until it warms up, then it will bounce all over the place for a while and after the car has been driven a while it will start idling at 1500. As far as driving and boosting, it does fine and my wideband shows exactly what I would want for a fuel mix. If anyone has a suggestion for my idle issue, I'm ALL ears.

Anyways, I haven't touched timing because I don't know how, I do have adjustable cam gears set at 0, basically timed like a stock motor. I read all these threads about timing at XX degrees and I don't get it, is it set through DSMlink, or a keydiver chip, translator, gears... I have Maft Pro and a keydiver chip, so not sure what I can do with what I have, but would really appreciate any help I can get with tuning.

Thanks in advance. I want my car to run like the raped ape thats been 6 years in the making :thumb:

Sounds like you gotta check the timing. Make sure the crank/cam sensor is in right. Get a haynes manual and look it up in there, because that could be 180 degrees out.

If you have dsmlink you gotta make sure the global is setup right for the injectors your running, and also the MAF is setup right. I would go on the dsmlink forums, and go to 1992 Talon Tsi AWD Project.

I would also try to turn the idle screw up on the throttle body.

The cam gears wont really change anything that has to do with idle, nor would I suggest you messing with them right now.

You know, I've messed with the BISS and it doesn't change hardly at all. Weird. I don't have DSMlink, I am running keydiver chip with Maft Pro (if I had to do all over again, DEFINITELY would have just went with link) Anyways... I do need to verify base timing, but I don't know if that should be changed for the stroker.
