What exactly is a stroker piston, what makes it different from a regular piston? I searched "2.3/2.4" and got nothing. Also how do you go from a 2.0L engine to a 2.3/2.4 etc engine? Is that just the amount of bore that you go over stock For example woud .030 bore over stock make the engine a 2.3L? I keep seeing posts on this and other DSM websites about things like this and i dont know what they are. Thanks

Also what would be better for a daily/track car, a 2.3 stroker build or just a bored engine with forged internals?. I just want to increase my knowledge in this area since i am bored out of my mind right now.
 
you dont go from a 2.0 to a 2.3 or 2.4 just by pistons. its mainly done by the crank shaft and rods having longer travel in the cylinder and being able to draw in a larger fuel air mix.
like the muscle car guys say " theres no replacement for displacement "
 
You get the extra displacement from a longer stroke crankshaft. In this case the 100mm stroke crankshaft from the 4g64 and G4CS. The stroker piston will have the pins located higher to keep the piston from slamming into the cylinder head. There are long rod variants that can improve the rod to stroke ratio and allow the use of a lighter piston, but they aren't as common.

The rods have nothing to do with it.
