Swapped a head on a dying car. Went to the junk yard to get another. Think it's a 2.4. Everything went together fine. But it's throwing camshaft position sensor code. And no spark. Used sensor from 2.0 head. Connectors are different. So any like to this hybrid head swap or info would be helpful. Thanks
Also I used 420a head gasket, think it might be leaking from back of head. Usedd New studs tho ans cleaned very well and followed Chilton torque procedure

420a 2g

At this rate I'm gonna go get that block and get my old head machined, and make hybrid engine for later.

One of the cams has a magnet bolted to it. make sure that cam is used on the Cam Position sensor.

IIRC, they are swapped between the DSM and Chrys.

Still no spark even after switching magnets on cams. Got 5v on lead wire to coil 12 on ground and 3v on the signal. What should I rest for on the cam? What other sensors could prevent spark? Also pcm is making a high pitched noise?
Also could crank timing be off and cause this? The car wants to run just no spark.
