im pretty new to the whole dsm thing, in fact today was my first time messing under the hood replacing a water hose. but after searching the past 8 hours on here and checking out the problem physically i think i've narrowed it down to the engines running too rich. after the engine goes through it's normal warm up mode where it supposedly runs richer than normal and i go to put the trans in gear the idle drops to 400-450ish and seems to struggle. however if i turn the car on and as it's in the normal more rich mode warming up and i put it in gear it instantly dies. is that because it's running richer at all times as well?(and running rich+running rich= way too much gas
?) i listened to all the fuel injectors and noticed one of them is making a loud thumping compared to the other 3. so if i go out and buy a replacement injector would that make the engine run leaner and help the idle while in gear? or could the prob of the idle while in gear not be that injector at all and be more serious such as the TC or end clutch etc?
