1g with roof scoop

I've seen several threads in the past asking about roof scoops on 1g's and how they'd look, well I came across some and...

now why does everybody got to hate, call me rice (im not asian) but i think is someone has the nuts to take the time and do that its worth it.. i think it looks cool, hey what makes your car so diffrent from every other dsm runnin down the road... hmmm NOTHING!!!

Nothing against the looks...that'd be a subjective opinion at best. But hood scoops on a DSM aren't functional so what's the point?

There's an MR2 turbo here owned by a Japanese guy and he has dual roof scoops that pipe air back, down, and behind his rear window and straight into his engine bay. Now that looked pretty damn sweet and fully functional as well! That car put down 350 rwhp.

I'm not one to say whether or not someone should or shouldn't put a roof scoop on their car... I've seen some decent looking 2g's with roof scoops, I wouldn't go as far as to say all 2g's would look good with roof scoops, but I've seen a few nice looking ones, and a few that I would rather not mention (ahem.. fast... furious.. cough)

But 1g's just don't have the body for it. I loved my 1g in stock form, and if anything would have considered the Risq front, but roof scoops + 1g's = no dice. Just because it's different doesn't make it cool in my book.

Just because someone else is willing to go out on a limb and do something I don't agree with doesn't mean that I have to approve... or change my opinion about towards it. They want to do that to their car... that's fine. But I don't have to like it nor would I wish to do the same to mine... or wish others to do follow suit.
