Was wondering if the wiring harness that goes through the upper left of the firewall is a direct plug into the ecu or does it spider web all over into the interior of the car. Here is a pic shower the harness in the upper left.

1gs go into the firewall, and one branch has three plugs directly inside in the passenger kick panel. Then it branches over to the mpi relay, ecu, and body/engine interface plug. Only goes 3 feet into the car, easy enough to remove. You have to pull the blower and a/c box to access it, you can fanangle it out without removing hte dash I've figured out. takes some wiggling.

The interface plug is different from a auto to a manual, as well the starter harness connector plug. 90's may have some addition quirks, but roughly the same.

thanks for the replies. Ill be pulling the dash tomorrow I think to remove the blower motor and ill be moving this harness so thanks for the help.

Sniver said it best. There are a total of 8 plugs that go into the interior of the car; 3 by the passenger side kick panel, 3 for the ECU, 1 for the MPI relay, and 1 goes up by the dash. The harness can be removed without pulling the dash but it works better with 2 people, one pushing/guiding and the other pulling. Just take it slow and don't yank. I have always pulled the harness out towards the engine bay side.
