Looking at a car which the dash has been swapped out so that VIN doesn't match the title and when the car was painted they ruined the vin tag there. Anyone know where else they put the vin numbers on 1g cars? I know most cars have it stamped into the body in other places as well but not sure where they are on these cars.

On the engine block, but that's probably not original either. ROFL
LOLYeah there is no block. It's pretty much just a rolling chassis. The end result of a part out so very stripped down but I have a rusty entire car I want to transfer everything over from
It’s not stamped in the firewall? I didn’t make it out to the garage today to look.
If you're talking about the firewall tag/sticker that's like the one inside the door they sanded that off and painted it as well.

I know the dash has been swapped because the VIN on it is for a 1.8 according to the 8th digit and the body is an AWD. The guy never registered the car and used it for racing only but my state checks out of state titles so I wont be able to transfer it without a correct vin on the car
