Not quite sure what you are asking for. The plug for the CTS (coolant temp sensor) is prone to getting brittle and breaking and he replaced it with spade connectors, so did I. The coolant temp sensor for the factory dash gauge (the sensor with a single prong next to the CTS) isn't hooked up so your gauge isn't working. Also the A/C thermoswitch isn't connected so I'm guessing your A/C has been deleted? So has mine. Also your thermal vacuum valve (the one in the middle with two nipples) isn't connected so I'm guessing your emissions have been deleted. So have mine. What I would be concerned about if I was you is the black goo all over the front of the housing.

So how do i go about hooking up the single prong one next to the CTS. Which wire is this if you dont mind. Actually if you dont mind do you have the wiring for the hole housing so i can make sure its right.

The Coolant Temp Sensor has 2 wires, one Yellow/Green (which goes to ECU Pin #20) and the other Green/Black (which goes to ECU pin #24, sensor ground). It doesn't matter which wire goes on which prong.

The sensor for the dash gauge has a single Yellow/Green wire.

Do you have A/C or emissions on the car?

Alright. As you can see I have Orange and red wires so ill have to go strip more wire.
No A/C and all emissions are pretty much deleted yes.

With no emissions or A/C those are the only two plugs you need to worry about. Those orange and red wires on the left side of the picture go to the CTS? I can't tell in the picture.

You can actually use this while the engine is still in the car. I think it took me all of 4 hours to pull the wires from around the intake manifold and run everything right to the sensors. What it looks like to me is that the harness was broke at some point (like mine) and the wires were too short to reach (again, like mine). In rerouting, you may cut off a foot and a half of wire or so (I left a little breathing room). As well, when you go through you'll find your temp guage wire at some point. Just make sure you keep it seperate from your CTS yellow/ green wire.

It actually looks like you don't have the A/C coolant temperature switch at all; instead, you have two coolant temperature sensors for the ECU (the two-prong sensors, one hooked up as you mentioned, the other just to the left of the upper radiator hose in the picture). Not a huge deal, especially if you don't have/plan to run A/C as it acts just like any other plug. Just thought I'd point that out for clarity's sake.

Good eye Brian! I haven't had my A/C thermoswitch in so long I didn't recognize the difference right away. If you wanted to clean it up a little you could replace both the A/C thermoswitch and the thermal vacuum valve with 3/8" pipe plugs.

I made this diagram for 1Gs (also made one for 2Gs that is floating around); we'll just say I spent a little time getting familiar with these guys and it'll be hard to forget. :p

Considering adding wire colors now and this thread would have been perfect for it. Anyway, Nate, I swear I'm not following you around the forums! LOL

Nice diagram! I saw your 2g one a few days ago.

From the diagram, you need #4 for your gauge to work and #5 (this is what you have two of) for your ECU. You can plug #2 and the hole where #6 would be so as to keep the original location for #5. That's all there is to it.

Alright so referring to 19Eclipse90's diagram.
-Yellow/green & Green/black wire, closest to my thumb, go to the position #5
-Yellow/green, closest to my index finger, goes to position #4
-Green/yellow & Black, closest to BOV, are unused am i right?

This thread helped me out tremendously... so thanks OP

Quick, related question (a bit of a noob one). My thermo valve is broken off flush. What does the thermo valve do and where can I get a new one?
