I'm trying to set proper 31.2 in-lb torque on tensioner pulley with setting pin installed, what worries me when attempting to follow service manual instructions is that the belt gets exceedingly close to the pivot point of the tensioner pulley bracket swing arm when applying tension in the recommended direction.
It looks like the belt teeth are about to hit now, I don't trust it for operation. Question is, is there any issues in torquing the opposite direction?
