From looking at the tops of the pistons is there any way to tell if they are 1g or 2g pisons????

What year is the block?
Is this motor stock? If so do you have a pic of the connecting rods?

A 1g pistons dish is noticeably deeper then a 2g piston dish. That dish looks like a 1g piston, but this pic is awful far away to say the least.

Did you clean the tops of these pistons? Just curious. They have....no carbon on them.

Give us MORE INFO!!!!!!!!!!!

newly rebuilt motor that I bought... kid said it had 2g pistons 1g rods... and to me that dish looks a little deep to be a 2g piston...

that is how much carbon was on the motor when I got it...
