Okay so I removed my big 16g, FP manifold and several other things to replace my manifold studs with FP ones. I also am going to change the oil feed line from the housing, to the head. I've heard it is better this way. I went to re install the housing bolt 3/8 ordered from STM, and I can't get it to go in to save my life! Any tips???

The stock oiling location for a 1G is off the front passenger side of the head.

With that being said, you should monitor your oil pressure at the head feed and the oil filter housing to choose the most appropriate oiling source. Depending on current mods (oil clearances, Oil weight, how much material has been removed from the head, Balance shaft elimination, etc) your oil pressure can vary greatly from the stock specs so the only way to insure one location is better than the other is to check the pressure with a gauge at both locations.

3/8 British Standard Pipe thread is the correct thread pitch for the oil filter housing ports facing the radiator. They are tapered pipe threads so they will not bottom out but rather tighten against themselves. Visit this thread to insure you have the right plug for the right hole.

The threads in the housing can easily be stripped out so do not over tighten the plug once you get it installed.

Keep the feed at the filter housing and add a .070" restrictor to prevent over-oiling the turbo.

Head feeds can be inconsistent even though the pressure is actually ideal for a MHI turbo at lower boost levels.
