General 1g oem ecu adapter harness?

Bought a stock 1g gsx a few weeks ago and trying to get it started. I pulled the ecu out to check it and came across this l, which I’ve never seen or heard of before. It looks like a oem adapter harness. But not sure why it there.

Interesting. The only result I got from Google is a European parts site that lists that part number as simply "adapter."

That is more than I could find. It didn't like the # MD152868 for some reason.

This is also tied into the adapter harness. Maybe the reason it’s there?

Does the black box have a part number on it too?
