Looks close I'm on my phone at the moment. But looks like at a glance and just recalling from memory you just need a couple changes again.

Pin 104 from the 1g ecu needs to go to pin 44 not 43

Pin 91(2g) needs to run to 101 or 106

Pin 38 (2g) needs to go to pin 66 and 63

pin 75 (2g) could be noted as a flying input for a wideband.

Pin 73 (2g) can be ran to pin 15 and used as a input for a map sensor. Or switched with 16 if running SD with a plug and play SD harness. Like Full Throttle or ECMLink have.

This swap is basically the same as a 1g DSM with Evo ECU swap just that for the 98/99 ECU

For a Evo pin 22 & 8 are swapped compared to the H8

91 for is the intercooler sprayer.

Also pretty sure you can run the evap pin 9 to 62 and EGR pin 6 to 53 of the H8 without a issue Or just disable them...

If you edit the sheet again and leave pin 16 to 73 I would put a note that it is for SD and plug and play harness.

I will add the note. Below is what I am basing most of this off of but he is using the 95 pinout which is slightly different then the 98 pinout. I am concerned why he says to move the sensor ground pen to 40 when it lists nothing for that pin on the 95 and 98 pinout. Is this one of the things that would change because of Ceddy mods?

Thanks bro. Yes the DLC means Data link connector. This diagram is not 100% yet but I am pretty confident sense I consulted My1GDSM, he knows his stuff. BTW I have your car's silver twin. I have a 92 Lazer AWD 6/4 combo.

Hahaha, I went back and looked again it made sense that that's what those pinouts were. I love my Laser (6/4 combo), I've owned it since 2000, it's a couple different colors because I had to replace some body panels... Michigan roads are salted... Grr. I'm glad you threw up that sheet, I've been using JUnfan's thread for reference and my chitons to try and get it straight. I'll actually be using MY1GDSM to do my remote tuning once my car is up and running again.

Redliner, The last diagram you posted above is what looks like a Evo ECU swap not 98/99 ECU.

pin 40 on a Evo ECU is a ground for the AIT, Cam and Crank sensors.

Just run both 1g pins 17&24 to pin 92 of the H8 ECU and as I said same with 66&63 to pin 38 of the H8.

Your best bet for anyone doing this is to pull up the FSM engine wiring diagram for a 98/99 and compare that to what your putting it in 90 or 91+ schematics and pin out for both.

What you emailed me last looks right.

I'd make one more change though besides 91 still going to CHASSIS ground that I didn't see changed still.

I'd run Pin 16 on the ODBII Connector to 107 (switched power) rather then constant if you leave your OpenPort in the car for an example to do standalone logging its going to stay powered on all the time.

pin 79 goes to a 12 pin ODB I connector in 98+ cars as well. In our case you can just add a direct female phone plug to flash the ECU if wanted. To minimize issues flashing.

I will hopefully be using one of his tunes also. I still have to get an OP 2.0 cable, 2g knock sensor, and a few other small things. I just wanted to get a legit pinout put out there to reference. People who get this done ask alot of questions and then once their shit is running right the vanish. I want to leave a trail so people are not left with more questions then when they started.

The most current Pinout you have posted in the first post should work perfectly fine (now) for anyone running a 98/99 ECU after being flashed and using a 2g knock sensor in 91-94 Car running SD as noted with a plug and play harness.

Anyone running a MAF wanting to log boost or not using a plug and play harness...

That has a 90-93 cali car or 94 and has the EGRT input under hood can just have 2g pin 86 run to 16 and 2g pin 73 to 1g pin 15. Then do the old TPS trick for 5v power and ground. I'm sure there are a few write ups on here for that one.

Anyone with a 90 note 1g pins 6 & 14 will need to be swapped and the tach signal may not be able to be used from 58 to 109 (I personally haven't tested this)

I started to use that pinout as the 2g reference but then I realized the the 95-97 wiring diagram and 98-99 differ a little. I searched and searched for hours trying to find a 98-99 only pinout and it seems the only one I could find was the one below that compares a 2Ga turbo and a 2Gb spyder.

To make sure that the spyder was the same (minus a few things turbo related of course) as the turbo cars I compared the photo above to this actual 99 GSX wiring diagram sense no one has made an ecu pinout specifically for 2Gb cars. I am gonna take this and make a 98-99 turbo pinout for people so they don't have to spend hours researching it like I did.

The spyder pinout is basically the same as the 98-99 GSX. The only things that were lacking if I remember correctly without double checking is the wastegate solenoid and knock sensor which were added to my pinout.

After researching and comparing for hours, below is the "98-99 H8 ECU into 91-94 pinout" I came up with. This is going to be used on my car so I spent days making this. Researching, getting advice from people who have done the swap already, and researching what those people told me. For anyone considering this, I am confident in my pinout and I am going to use it on my own car.

Yes it was hours of work. I set in the manual a whole weekend just on the 1g side to write it all up and then several evenings making the above ones.

Mine seems to be working fine. Made it down to the shootout, got beat on and made it back all happy. We now are up to about 7 or 8 cars around here running 2g flashable ECUs in a 1g car.

I was trying to make it easier for people too since I could not seem to find a complete drawing. I kept finding old threads with what seemed like partial info.

Just FYI I pulled my whole harness soldered each joint, removed all things not needed like EGR, AC, ABS stuff and then did a wire tuck. Almost nothing is on my firewall. I also spent what seemed like hours doing a continuity test. Each pin from one end too the other and all tested correctly.

Antilag and 6Bolt2g have do tons of dsm/evo tuning around here and they tuned my Talon. I am now capable of tuning and logging alone and using EvoScan and EcuFlash. I am learning all the time and since the shootout we discovered my temp sensor failed so even at the shootout I was not running well. I could tell by feel and when we popped the new one in the car felt so much better. This is my hobby so I want to learn to tune my car alone.

I am now set to about 22lbs and we will be tuning in a few weeks again or sooner if the snow and my WRX head gasket for the wife project cooperates. I need the out thing out of the garage so I can work in my Talon. This is the summer I hit low 11s on the e316g and e85. Then I want to get something like 6266, kelford cams, kiggly springs, injectors, etc...

This is why I suggested anyone doing this to look over the FSM's AND the specific pin outs for what you are working with. Most people always post in response to anything asking, the 95 pinout as if it is the only 2g ECU pinout. General rule of thumb when getting this involved in something it helps to look at actual schematics of specifically what you are working with.

I have the Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 cable from ecuflash to flash with and am using the Audi/VW Vag-Com cable to log with. I do this because the Vag-Com cable loads as 409 cable I think and logs fast like a 1.3 cable. Then I used the 2.0 to actually make changes to the ECU.

Also because the Vag-Com cables were $8 bucks on eBay and the 1.3 cable is $157 plus shipping.
