I was putting one of my engines back together after pulling the engine, and I noticed the knock sensor wiring was shredded. I must have forgot to disconnect it when I lifted the engine out, I see a white wire but thats the only wire I see. I cut away the loom in the harness, and I still cant find the black wire. Any ideas? I dont want to keep cutting if it only uses one wire, wich I doubt because my other car has a white and black wire. Also,if I cant find that wire,is it possible to rewire it back to the ecu from the connector side?

Its a 2 wire. Forsure.

And yes you can wire from the plug to the ecu. If you need a plug hit me up I've always got your back.

If you need any help with the wiring let me know. I've got my harness stripped down with no convaluted tubing on it so its easy to take pics and trace wires.

That would be great if you can figure it out. I just dont get that it could have sunk down that far in the harness. I keep cutting away and tracing back, but still no sign of the black wire anywhere.. I will most likely just re-route it.

I believe the black wire is the ground but don't hold me to it. I will take pics when I get home in the morning and text them to you.
