What size gauge of wires are in the fuse box part of the harness hard to tell and I would be taken a guess when it comes to a 16-18 gauge was just wanting to know what are the main gauges used in the harness

Solution
You have to look in the FSM for the specifics but most wires don't have a prefix so they are the default size of 0.5mm^2 which is roughly 20 awg.

Solution
I have a gauge reader it seems the wires are much much smaller then 20g

I provided my references above. I can't speak to what or how your measuring. I will say there are several wires in the harness that should likely be larger based on the current and length. One that comes to mind right away is the power for the fuel pump and perhaps those from the alternator.
