So i plan to cut splice solder and extend parts of my harness for the empty engine bay, and i do not know to measure the wires i searched with no results. Example cutting the tps, injector, coil pack ....ect..... wires to extend them... but i dont know which gauge to order online??? Any help?

most of your harness wiring for sensors etc will be 14, 16 or 18 guage. i know there is a wire guage out there somewhere, could check with a welding shop or wire supplier for one.
it will also depend on wire quality, insulation thickness etc.

A good bit of those sensor wires are 0.5mm2, which is roughly 20 gauge, and around 7 strand. Which is part of why it gets very brittle over time. Especially when it is close to a heat source. I don't know what Harbor freight has, and it may very well be better than the 20 year old wiring on the car. But that isn't saying much. If you are going to do it, get good wire. Waytek sells TXL and GXL, good automotive spec wire for cheap. That is what current OEMs use. But I would avoid their 20 gauge wire, stick with 18 or larger.

I'd also suggest using new terminals so you replace the wire all the way to the connector, but I know some people want to do things as low cost as possible

i agree with brads. also, i wouldnt use harbor freight wire necessarily. i know its not a fuse per-se, but its definitely not going to be as good of quality as what brads suggested.

spend the extra couple bux (literally) for good quality wire. quality soldering could help against replacing connectors, but new ones can be had for a few dollars and if you dont mind some slightly tedious work, it cleans things up and makes it less likely to have issues.

I picked up 50' of primary 18 gauge wire for 3.99 @ Amazon. And if needed I'll use other sizes later for other needs.
I googled on car forums and 14>20 gauge is common like many of you said. I also bought gm connectors for things like my fans since they are straight wire.

As far as harbor I never ever seen wire there and I have looked in many stores..

I've seen wire kits at Harbor Freight that had a wire spool holder, and several spools of wire. I was looking at buying it just for the spool holder and tossing the wire, but it was too small for my needs.

So you replaced the wiring with what sounds like a single color, and you are getting rid of the factory connectors and wire, so you can't ID any signals by position or wire color at the connectors? That sounds like a troubleshooting nightmare waiting to happen. Hopefully you won't have any issues after you do that rewire.
