1g gst fwd.. odd dead spot/ idle

Ok so I've had this 1g gst for about three months now,no mods. changed the fuel pump/filter/fpr/plugs along with some other things.Check engine light is on now. (most of the time) will start up on its own, WHEN THE CAR IS NOT MOVING at around 2000-3500 rpm it stutters awfully, almost sounds like a misfire. Once I get into the high rpm range (above 4000 rpm) it sounds fine. Now, WHEN DRIVING, it doesn't stutter at all, pulls fine until you shift into the next gear. No matter how much gas you give it you won't get any response and you have to wait for the rpms to drop to at least 3000rpm to accelerate again, a complete dead spot.But then It shifts normal at low rpms, any ideas will be appreciated as I'm just looking for pointers before I go spending money on things that I Don't need to.
 
You may want to scan for codes. I am wondering if you are having timing pulled. Logging what is going on would help. A boost leak test would be helpful. What is your fuel pressure since you have changed the pump and fpr?

The buzzer is not needed, but helpful. A light or analog volt meter could be substituted.

The other option is to purchase a logger. Palm logger units come up for sale from time to time in the classifieds.
 
Checking the cel code is the first step always if you have one. Anything less would be uncivilized. Now pass me the grey poupon and check that code. Haha. Have you done a blt? Cleaned injectors?
