Hey guys! I have a question that I cannot find a solid reliable answer to. I am awaiting to install Link v3 Full into my 1g talon and am looking for a way to gain a little extra ponies over the completely stock setup. I have been looking into a 2g maf along with 550cc injectors. Now my only question is if I throw on 550cc injectors along with a 2g maf with the plug and play harness for a 1g to 2g maf conversion would I need to tune for the car to run fine? Or would I get away with changing the injector size and maf on DSMLink??? I cannot find straight answer to this question. Every thread I come across is just a bunch of stipulation. I hope a wiseman can chime in with some good ol' reliable info! Also wondering if an evo fuel pump would also be needed with the 550's??

Thanks alot for the help guys!

Rewiring the fuel pump and run the 190lph pump, can insure you to run a little more boost. Some have gone away wit just running the 2G mas and 550cc injectors without ill effects, but some will advice you to not run it with out some type of tuning device like for example the Apexi super afc. Since you have the ECMlink you should be good.

Yes with dsmlink you will be able to run the 2g maf and 550's without having to tune anything, just change the settings for maf and injectors. A bigger pump would be recommended. As the stock 1g pump will max out around 14-15 psi, which the stock 450's are good for. The evo fuel pump is around the same as a walbro 190 and will allow you to max out the stock injectors. I would suggest getting a wideband to go along with link before you invest in bigger injectors or anything else tho.

I do have an new lc1 that's waiting to be installed!

Save money and time and go speed density and big ass injectors of u got ecmlink. dont waste time with ghetto old school gm mafs and small injectors 450cc to 550cc unless higher fuel pressure is a waste of money. Check out some more options. I wasted money on small mods like that before and ended up spending more in the end. So try save yourself trouble and find better more worthwhile horsepower adding ways.

Well for the time being I just wanna max out my 14b just because I don't have the money to purchase SD let alone tune it. I just think until I upgrade my turbo the 2g maf and evo injectors will be a good upgrade. I also purchased an evo fuel pump.

Just buy a walbro 255 and put it in there. I wouldn't waste money on a 2g maf and small injectors if your ganna upgrade later save the money and order good stuff then when you got it all together then put it in. Maxing out the 14b is not worth it just run it stock boost.IMO.. you can run stock injectors on 14b just get a/f ratio to 11:1 they are not ganna outrun the turbo, because you will be leaning it out to make power. If you don't have anything to tune with even if you do the 2g maf and 550's it's still not ganna be right. Just buy a walbro 255 and save up for now. Trust me I saying this from experience and seeing it. I know you wanna make power but you will be alot happier when its done the right way instead of going all the shortcuts.

If I get a 255 ill need a FPR then i'd be over killing the stock injectors. I think for the time being I could use the evo pump (flows about the same as the walbro 190) and also use the evo injectors and 2g maf. I do have dsmlink so tuning it to run right will no be an issue. I am not gonna have the $$ to upgrade from the 14b anytime soon. I am content with the power that I'm making right now. I just think that a little bit more would make it a bit more fun. It is a weekend warrior so it will all come slowly but surely. I appreciate the help sir!
