Let me start by saying this is my 1st DSM 90 gsx......mods are
E-bay 16g (dont ask came with the car)
external turbosmart wastegate (peice of junk), also came with car)
FMIC
balance shafts removed
fidanza flywheel
act stage 1 clutch
full exhaust no cat 2.5inch
Stock Fuel system
prothane motor mounts
A while back my alternator quit on me (proboly all the power steering falling over it shorted it out)
Dont know how i did it but i jumped timing and bent all my intake valves....dont know what psi spring was on this wastegate but it was letting me boost past 14psi (didnt put a aftermarket boost gauge in the car yet) and i herd 1g's cut out at 20psi around there so it was fuel cutting me at around 5500 rpm.....went to start it up one day pull it into the garage and swap alternators out and boom backfire, no start, flooding out, no compression, pulled the head off and all intake valves were bent. Since my head is off and i got a new one and everything else is off my motor i thought it would be a good time fix all my issues.
1.What is safe boost on a 16g on a 1g stock fuel system???
2.How do i go about finding out what psi spring i have in my gate without toasting my motor??
3.How Bad are the e-bay 16g's?? am i better off running a 14b??

Thanks in advance......any input would be greatly apprecaited
