1g 6bolt fuel cut problems

Ok so this what i got its my 94 talon tsi fwd gonna be makeing in to awd but what happens to my car is when im doing 100 down the highway when i get to 6,000 rpms im hiting a brick wall fuel cut i look at my injectors and the wires come loose the retard i bought car didnt know what he was doing i did help him install the motor and it wouldnt crank for him so i fixed that and car runs fine but when im in high revs my car just hits fuel cut so i was wondering if any1 know what can be wrong with it i got new fuel pump and still same problem im thinking its the injectors because when im drive car below 5k rpms its not hiting the wall fuel cut i did timeing and set it up for turbo the 20g it runs find up to 7,000rpms if i dont punch it when i punch it . it just feels like no power in injectors the fuel is geting cut some where ### help thanks

Is the car stock? Speed doesnt matter with fuel cut, pounds of boost does. What psi do you hit fuel cut? What size injectors and fuel pump? How are you tuning?

lawl im no newbie ive owned this car since 2010 and its no had these problems befor till i upgraded turbo and hes dyno set it up my bro had a 91 back in 03 and it had same problems he was telling me

Sorry, but can you try to put a bit more effort into your responses (read rule 5. when you reply) - both grammatically and answering questions?

Logically, the stock setup was fine, and now you replace a turbo (with a bigger one assuming), and you hit fuel cut. Chance are the pump and/or injectors are maxed out. What size injectors and pump do you have? What kind of turbo? What level of boost do you reach when you hit fuel cut? What are you tuning with - ECM Link, SAFC, AEM EMS?

These are all questions you need to answer before anyone can diagnose your problem.


It looks like youre running a 20g and have not upgraded the injectors or done any tuning...that is a problem.

the car is not stock but i think my injectors are 450cc or something or 400cc but my fuel pump in a walbro

Walbro makes more then 1 fuel pump for our cars.


To properly run a 20g, the fuel setup needs to be a walbro 255, AFPR, 800 or 850 cc injectors (depending on boost), and a solid tune.

I think it can be my injectors cause my wireing is loose if i fix my wiring and it does fix it im thinking its the injector its self because i got new fuel pump in car today and drove it and still same problem

Stock injectors will not support the required flow rate needed for a 20g at that level of boost.

You need the following information:

1 - What brand and model of fuel pump do you have? Walbro 190? 255?

2 - What size injectors do you have? You say stock.

3 - What are you tuning the car with?

Honestly, if you cant answer these basic questions, you need to find out and come back after. As a quick guess, the answer to fix your fuel cut would be to get larger injectors (800 or 850cc), get a Walbro 255 fuel pump, install an AFPR, and do a proper tune with DSM Link or AEM EMS.

what i got is a walbro 255 fuel pump and i got dsmlink v3 but my injectors i m geting in mail there the 450cc

just looked it up on my ebay account what i got for the car

Ok, if you want to get rid of fuel cut you will need bigger injectors and a fuel pressure regulator. The stock FPR will be overrun by the Walbro 255.
