1g Cowl Seal/Weathership

Hello,

I am currently in the process of blasting and repainting the cowl and wiper arms of my 1ga talon. I bought a spare cowl piece that I was planning on using, but it does not have the seal that runs along the top portion of it that rests up against the windshield. I know that getting those new from a dealer is going to be a long shot, so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of what can be used instead? Is the seal even really needed?

Clear silicone, or black. Let it get hard before you put it back on.
I might get hate for this, but it's cheap, and everyone's got silicone laying around sumwhere.
