I own a 92 Eagle Talon Tsi FWD Turbo

I have a ? cause after i switch gears it wont make that little pshhhh sound that the BOV make. Is there a problem or something?? I just bought the car and everything is stock !!

Is it hooked up incorrect or do i have to do something to it.??

A) DSMs come stock with CBVs (compressor bypass valves), not BOVs. They bypass the air back into the intake... due to the way our stock air metering works, we can't 'blow off' into the atmosphere without running pig-rich just afterward due to the 'lost' air.

B) Do NOT remove the pipe running from your CBV to the intake. The CBV is also open under vacuum, meaning when you're idling or engine braking, you'll be sucking in unmetered (and unfiltered) air.

C) Only real way to get that ricey little 'hiss' on a stock setup and still keep the car running right is to go with a hard intake pipe, instead of the rubber snorkel. The hard metal (or plastic) resonates, so you hear the 'blowoff' louder.

And just FYI, this issue is in the 'Newbie FAQ', under 'common newbie mistakes'. :) Our cars don't hiss at people, they're much better at just running away. :D
