Is it possible to swap a 1g awd tranny into a 2g awd? I have a few 1g trannys sitting around and I am wondering if it will work. It the engine mount the only difference or will they not bolt up somehow? BTW, I have a 6 bolt motor in the car.
I tryed searching so please no search rersponses.
Thanks

It will bolt on, but will not work in the 2g engine bay. The engine mounts for the tranny arn't the same as the 2g, there in difftent spots.

maybe try searching? there are numberous replys to this EXACT question in the DRIVETRAIN/TRANNY forum .. I actually just replied to that post earlier so it's right at the top ...
