2g awd trans install in 1g

Hey guys im getting ready to install a 2g AWD trans in a buddys 1g awd. Now i have never done this before. Is there any tips on what all needs to be done to get the job done....?

Well there are 3 motor mounts on the 2g tranny vs. 1 on the 1g, so you will have some headaches getting it to mount in, but that can be done, you will just have to swap the motor mount from the 1g tranny on to it. You may also need to swap the link arms from his 1g tranny to the 2g one.
Some people have had good luck with 2g tranny's in a 1g, but some haven't at all. So its hit and miss. Good luck!

Oh, and depending on the year of car the 2g tranny came out of, you may want to put in a matching transfer case. 2g's had 2 different spline counts in the transfer cases.
