1G 1G AWD Rear brake caliper parking brake frozen

Thanks for looking if you are reading this. I have a 90 TSi AWD, and while changing the rear brakes, and last week my e-brake went loose. I found that the driver side emergency brake mechanism is frozen on the caliper. I checked the cable and it is good. I beat the arm till the mechanism was in the off position and unhooked the cable. Has anyone rebuilt the caliper and got acess to this mechanism? Can i get to it if i remove the brake cylinder? Please don't tell me to buy a new caliper, I know i can do this. I want to rebuild if possible.

i know its been a while since i looked at this but just for anyone searching that finds this. I ending up have to replace both calipers due to a large amount of corrosion inside binding the parking brake assembly.
