1995 Eclipse GS Headlight Issue

I have a 1995 Eclipse GS (non-turbo).
I have no idea how to tell if my car is a 1g, 2g, etc. how can I tell?
My headlights are not working (low or high beam) the running lights turn signals and tailights all work but just not the headlights. I have checked the fuses, and the relay. Checked the voltage at the relay and there is good voltage at the relay. When I test the harness at the headlight there is no reading from the volt meter, key in and light switch turned on. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what do I do to fix it. Or are there are any other suggestions.

2g(second generation) is from 95-99

first off thanks cook I now know the answer to my first question, and no my bulbs are not burnt out, in my post I forgot to mention that i checked that as well. Does anyone know anything else that might be causing my headlights to not work?

Then fix your profile which currently states you have a 1995 GSX.

Have you checked continuity to the wires to your headlights? If not, then you know it can be something all the way back to the switch.

Take it over to advance auto and have them install a new bulb before you hurt yourself
