I bought a 97 Eclipse Sypder GS and it has aftermarket headlights on it. Everything works perfectly like it should until I hit the high beams, when I do the left light goes out. I've replaced the bulb even tho its a single element bulb. Changed the switch still nothing. I checked the fuses didn't see any broken tailights all work properly just the left high beam

Check the wiring, without knowing what brand it is, it is a little hard to diagnose.

There should be a ground and a power wire going to each bulb in the headlight assembly.
It is probably a broken or loose connector that is causing it to fail.

Are they stock bulbs, japanese high voltage bulbs or HIDs?

If you want to verify the bulb as functional, just switch it to the working side.
If you want to see if it is merely a power overdraw issue, disconnect the working headlight and see if the other one becomes functional.

It has h1 bulbs and there are two wires to each its the same bulb as the lowbeams im guessing the voltage just changes but as soon as i hit the highs it cuts off i switch it back and it comes back on the right side works fine though
