1991 gst steering issue

hey all, well it starts with repairing an oil leak from the tensioner while i was doing it I removed completely the leaking power steering pump. I put the rest of the car back together and now has a type of steering wobble can't really describe it as just a shaky car because the steering actually goes back and forth about a half inch. Ball joints do need replaced, but they were bad prior, could they have just gotten worse when I set the car back down? Could I have lost a weight of the rim when I took the tire off? Would that cause this? I lifted the car up and nothing seems to have any movement when I try. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Low Speed, Highway speeds? What are the tires like? Choppy, uneven wear? Has the vehicle been sitting before you got this fixed or is this a one day repair. Drove fine the day before, performed the repair and now this is happening?

All speed tires are good, drove fine fixed the oil leak and boom wobble???? I really thought maybe the tire wasn't sitting on correctly and reinstalled it twice so I am out of ideas.

Kinda sounds like an out of round tire. Notice any bulging, choppy wear, etc. Run your hand over the tires to feel for that kind of wear. Most often times the wear will be towards the inside of the tread.

So you completely removed the power steering pump? Did you loop the lines on the rack, or?
