1990 oil filter position relative to O2?

Does the 1990 oil filter have less clearance to the O2 housing than any other year DSM? Or do all the sideways oil filter housings put the filter in the exact same position? There are other years with sideways oil filters aren't there?

I think the 91 and up sandwich style coolers may put the oil filter a little closer to the o2 housing, but not by much.

The 90s have the external air/oil cooler . The sandwich on the 91+ is a PITA oil/water cooler that can crush if you screw the filter on too tight, and replaced the external cooler from the 90. Both versions are "sideways" mounted. Are you asking for a specific reason or for general knowledge?

What's going on is I'm about to spend a bunch of money on a T3 manifold and O2 housing kit that is made for DSMs. I'm trying to do my homework by sniffing out all the possible fit problems, which there are a lot of. One is the amount of clearance between the O2 housing and the oil filter. If it turns out that I can't even change my oil filter without taking the O2 pipe off or some problem like that I'm going to be pissed. If I know that the oil filter position on my car is the same as the other years, or farther away from the O2, then I'll be more confident that this thing will fit ok. But if the 1990 filter comes closer to the O2 than the other years I'm going to have to do whatever it takes to convince myself it's ok before buying.

Another trick is to use a smaller oil filter, You can look it up in the book as a 3000gt.
