Here's another small update! I deleted my cruise control and installed the non cruise cable. After the install the pedal felt nice and free! Also cleaned up the bay! After I was finished with that I stripped the paint off of my spare valve cover. I began the prepping process. My goal is to get a glossy black with polished letters. Here's some pics!

Stay tuned guys! There's some good stuff coming real soon!

Well guys I finally got around to installing my lowering springs. After the install the car definitely felt stiffer. I also am very pleased with how the car sits. :thumb: After the spring job I started to mock up my battery relocation. I had some extra 0 gauge wire left over from a speaker job. Running the wire through my gutted rear end was a breeze and its hidden very well. I did have to drill a hole through the lower part of the firewall. It does look very clean. I did clean up the intake manifold and give it a small shine. I also took my charcoal canister bracket out of my car and moved the canister towards the motor mount bracket. I decided I am gonna go with speed density. I will be purchasing parts very soon. Here are some pics of the progress.

Stay tuned tuners! :talon::talon::talon:

Intake manifold looks great! Loving this build. Next thing you can do is a partial tuck of the wiring harness that's attached to the intake mani. Really really easy and free just takes about an hr or so and some electrical tape.

Thanks bud! I appreciate the words! Actually you hit right on. I'd love to tuck some of the wires now. My bay has so much extra space now.

So how do these springs ride on the street? I'm nervous about doing what you did, lowering my car that far with stock height struts.

So how do these springs ride on the street? I'm nervous about doing what you did, lowering my car that far with stock height struts.

I have not driven my car yet! I'm just finishing some other things before I take it out if the garage! I will be sure to update the thread once I take it out!

Well guys! Finally got a good update. I ordered some parts. :hellyeah: I'll first start with some of the minor things I am going to be doing. I ordered the finishing pieces For the batter relocation. They should be here in a few days. I also ordered new NGK plugs (BPR7ES) and some new NGK wires. I started on my valve cover. I removed it and my cylinder head looked great. While the cover was off I purchased a set of ARP studs to install while the VC was off to add a little extra insurance. Then I figured that I might as well purchase some fuel goodies since my fuel system was completely stock. Here are some pictures of what I've been up to!

After I was finished with that I received some more stuff. First was an Aeromotive a1000 FPR with all lines and fittings except the -6 an fuel rail adapter. (ordered and on the way) Next was a Walbro 255 fuel pump and install kit. I also got a set of FIC 950cc injectors. Before I tune I am basically left with 2 more parts to purchase which are a Tial Q because my 1g BOV wont hold past 18 psi and a speed density kit. Once I get these remaining parts I can tune. :thumb::sneaky:

Another update! I got one of the last packages I've been waiting for! As you can see in the picture below. I got the finishing pieces for my battery relocation. Just some 0 gauge end connectors, 250 amp ANL fuse and a distribution block. I also got some maintenance parts from ExtremePSI. I received NGK BPR7ES plugs, NGK wires, stainless steel valve cover bolts, BISS screw o-ring, and a BOV gasket. I also sourced some throttle body shaft seals for my 90 throttle body. I bolted down the valve cover and got my steel braided line for my FPR installed. I am very happy with the way the whole valve cover came out. I also am trying to fab up a bracket for my FPR. We'll see how it turns out! :hmm:

Well guys finally got my FPR and 950's installed and tried to start the car. The car was bogging down almost like it was going to shut off. I adjusted the fuel pressure and it just idled high at about 2500 RPM's. I forgot that I took out the BISS screw to fix a boost leak. So I grounded the timing connector and the diagnostic connector and after the idle settled around 1500 with the screw fully bottomed out. I then started an idle log in link. My TPS was at .78 and ISC was 50 at idle. I have boos leaks coming from the throttle body shaft seals, BISS screw and a couple that I cant pinpoint. So I'm now at the point where I would like to fix all boost leaks before I proceed with anything else. I also have a Tial BOV on the way. My 1G BOV wouldn't hold past 18 PSI and I decided to sell it to fund the Tial BOV. Im sure my injectors and regulator are fine because the car was holding a steady idle at 1500 RPM after adjusting the BISS. So now back to the waiting game. :barf: I did fab up a bracket for my FPR and it came out pretty nice. I also wrapped up my battery relocation. That also came out good. It free's up a lot of space in the engine bay. I took off my throttle body and attempted to rebuild it. I took my time but still could not take off the stupid throttle plate screws. :banghead: I then decided I'd just get a new throttle plate and shaft and drilled out the bolts. The dumb plate still would not budge. Basically my throttle body is toast. I am now looking into getting a 91-94 throttle body with sensors and a 91-94 fuel rail. Hopefully I can just find a 90 throttle body since I already bought the shaft seals for mine. Here are some pics.

PM'd!

Finally got my oil cap in! I was sent the wrong fuel pump. So I sent it back and got that all taken care of. The real 255 should be here shortly. Also here is a closer look at how I did my battery relocation. There still is some cleaning that needs to be done.

I got some work done this weekend. I am getting ready to make the switch to speed density and was researching on places to put the map sensor. I found an old thread where a new hole was drilled and tapped for a nipple. Then the sensor was placed on the clutch reservoir. There was only like a 2 inch piece of hose between the map sensor and manifold. The only way I could do this was to remove the intake manifold and drill the hole out. It took me a sold 2 hours to remove everything and after I was happy I decided to go this route. It gave me a chance to clean the intake ports that were full of gunk from over the years. I also got frustrated with all the vacuum lines and removed everything in one piece. I am at the point where I just would like to leave it out and cap off all open ports. I also sent out my intercooler pipe to have the SD bung and Tial flange welded on. Heres some pictures.

Also removed the AC bracket. I need to cut off the bottom bolt hole so i can still have the spacer for the axle half shaft.

Got a little upset with the intake manifold casting. No matter how much I scrubbed and wouldn't get the OEM like finish. I didn't have access to a sand blaster or anything like that so I decided to give it a minor polish job. I used a die grinder with sanding wheels to get rid of the casting then used the sanding stages followed by some white rouge. Then touched it up with some mothers. There are still some minor casting marks but it looks a thousand times better. I am so glad I decided to pull it off and do it the right way. I got a chance to clean the grime from the manifold and head. I know its going to flow more freely now. I also got to cut out the bottom hole of the AC bracket that acts as a spacer for the axle half shaft. After the intake mani removal I ended up deleting all emission solenoids, vac lines, and canister. As well as the leftover AC parts. :thumb: All I'm waiting for is my Tial BOV with welded pipes and speed density then I'll hopefully be set to tune. Here are some pictures of the progress.

Finally got one of the packages I've been waiting to receive for a long time! My Tial Q and intercooler pipes finally arrived! :hellyeah: I cleaned up the pipes and mocked up the fitment! Here are some pictures. I am just waiting for a throttle body elbow gasket and then I will get them on for good. I also will be purchasing speed density tomorrow if everything falls into place! I did purchase a 4 inch FP polished intake pipe. The car should be back together real soon.

Small update guys! I my intake pipe in and mocked it up! I did get my throttle body and elbow bolted in. I am just about ready to start boost leak testing. I ordered the ECMTuning kit with the plug and play cable. I also got a black 45 degree coupler to get rid of that nasty blue coupler on my UICP. Im hoping it all arrives by tomorrow so I can start boost leak testing this weekend! Heres some pics!
