I have a 1990 eagle talon tsi awd manual trans. Me and a friend built it about 6 or7 years ago so i dont remember exsacly what we all had in it but i do remember a lot. we had put a lot of money and time in it, but never got it running just right because every time we fix some another thing would break. long story short it stop getting attention and was let to sit for 3 years. now i have somewhere to work on it and little money saved for it and want to get it right.

last time it ran i was putting new gauges in it and didnt relieze the oil sending unit was longer on after market part and i cracked the oil filter bracket. this was it form me, i had put to much time in money in the car and had half way gave up.(this was day after a put exhaust on it ans blow head gasket on way home for overheating it. thats why it was getting new gauges. thats also why it as a cometic head gasket now.) i could never find the oil filter bracket for it because they stop making it and was told it had to be for a 90 because of oil cooler lines.

heres some of the thing we did to car:
-complete rebuild(motor now has less than thousand miles on it)
-eagle rods and pistons forged
-reworked head with 3 angle valve job, bigger springs
-272 hks intake and exhaust cams ( think this is correct they were biggest at that time)
-16g turbo small
-gready blow off value (i think. its purple)
-cometic head gasket( best one at time think it was good 33lbs of boost)
-2g intake with exhaust gauge
-3in thermal exhaust w a 3in down pipe
-all the motor mounts well all mounts were changed to the good ones (there red if that helps)
-660 injectors
-fuel pump was upgraded to a walburg 255 or something like that. it was a very popular pump for dsms
-afc 2
-i also have a bib front mount for it not installed yet
-also have LT1 mass air and map sensor programmer thin for it. not installed
-palm polite hook up
-manual booster control
this is all motor stuff that is new. i also have act clutch. all new cv joint, brakes, pretty much everything.

sure theres more im forgetting but here some questions ive got:

do i have to use a 90 oil filter bracket?
if not what are my options?
if so can u direct me in right direction to get one?
im from albany louisiana does any know someone that works on these car in this area?(mostly just for tuning because i cant get that rite to save my life)

i do have many more question but i figure let take it slow, one thing at a time. sorry if this was to long. i just know that it usually important to know what all was done to get right info. also any question comments are welcome im learning here.

do i have to use a 90 oil filter bracket
Look underneath around the oil filter area and there should be oil lines running up to the front of the radiator since the oil cooler was mounted in front of the radiator.

91's and on up used that all-in-one cooling mechanism where the filter is screwed on to ...and I don't know why MITSU went with that design where the external cooler was tons better.

im not with car now but i will look. i know there are lines going to the bracket. so does that mean that i do have to use 90 bracket? 91s and newer dont have these oil lines connecting to bracket? do u know if theres any type of converstion or can u reroute lines and use different yr bracket?

i need a bump here. i cant find anything on this oil filter bracket. ive also tried oil filter housing. anyone?

sorry guess theres no bumping

any idea where i can get one. i look for while before i parked car. and ive been lookin today again. i cant find for 90. 91 and newer all day long
