17x9 35+ offset Good Choice! 2g!

I'm planning on ordering rpf1 17x9 or wider if possible.
I'm on a stock height 97Gst.
What modications if any would be necessary?
Also what offset would you recommend and tire size?
I plan on dropping her 1.5 in the future.

17x9 is the largest recommended size unless you enjoy tires poking way out past the fenders.

A +35 offset is the highest you'd want to go otherwise the inside of the tire will rub on your knuckle if the tire's section width is high enough (assuming you'll run a 255 tire). I'm all for running the widest tire you can since I build my car for handling, but it's up to you. That wheel will be best with a 245 or 255, unless you are going for the stretched look.

With that drop, you'll probably need to roll your fenders (at least the rear) or they will cut into the tire.

After seeing Jax's car, thats the exact look im going for. 17x9 and some nice wide 255's and her setup barely pokes out.

I was actually hoping to run 255s on an 8.5" wide RPF1. Enkei doesn't offer a 35mm offset, only 30mm or 40mm. Would it be better to stick with the 9" at 35mm for the 255s? I run Sumitumo HTRIIIs usually (not the best, but I get them cheap).

This if for the 2GB of course. Right now I have 7.5" at 40mm with 235/45s and it looks and handles well enough, so I may leave it, but I have always had a soft spot for RPF1s. The car rarely sees track time that requires it to turn, but it will on occasion. I have a few sets of wheels and some Hoosier QTPs are in the works for this season, so this isn't a huge concern area either.

So I'd be okay with 17x9 +35 w/ 255/45 on stock height?

I can't say for sure as I've never ran that size tire. The 45 AR adds a good bit of height over the 40. I'd do some searching on here to see if anyone has gotten it to work. Here's one post I found, but make sure to read the whole thread for full context.
