I have seen graphs with people with similar mods on their cars but I am wondering would the graph look similar on my car with a smaller turbo? for example evo3 16g and a 14b. I know the power levels wont be the same but what about the power curve?

An EVO III 16g is going to have a wider power band (on a well prepared car). A 14b produces similar torque and horsepower numbers, and normally produces a "V8 like" curve, meaning torque comes in early, and carries threw till around the changeover (5252 rpm). Like you said, would the 14b's power would be lower then the 16g when comparing 2 cars setup up correctly for each turbo. Depending on the selection of parts and "the combination" of how well the parts "work" with each other, is what would ultimately dictate the cars behavior. Like the saying goes, "you can't predict the weather". (In other words, every car is different, so an educated guess is as close as you can get without actually doing it - aka dyno-ing the 2 setups). Hope that helps.

I understand. So saying that the variable is the car. for example my car has (x) parts listed the shape of the curve should in theory be the same being that both turbos will hold 17psi till red line. The 16g will have a higher power out put than the 14b but the way the power is translated out will look the same on a graph.

similar graph but different levels of hp.

14B:

- Full boost at 2800 or so.
- Less turbine flow than a 16G due to smaller turbine housing.
- Less compressor potential due to a smaller compressor wheel; will run out of pulling power before a 16G.
- Doesn't favor higher boost levels.

16G:

- Full boost around 3600.
- Larger turbine a/r (cm2) adds a flow benefit at the cost of a little lag.
- More efficient compressor design which favors boost levels around 15psi and up.

I'm not really sure what you're looking for- I'm sure if you dig enough there are plenty of 14B vs. Evo III 16G comparisons on this site from those who have run both back-to-back.
