Well I got the car back on the dyno for some tuning yesterday, and I'm very happy with what the car laid down. Mods in profile.

Previous dyno: 251.5 whp 270.8 tq

Baseline pull yesterday: 255.6 whp 266 tq (Only changes between the two runs were the evo8 fmic install) It was also about 89 degrees this time compared to about 45 degrees last run, and much more humid this time.

Final numbers: 275.8 whp 298.6 tq.

When I started tuning, boost was set to 20 psi spiking, and holding about 17-18

Final boost settings are 22 psi spike, 19 holding.

Overall, I am very happy with the car now. I mean it is a 151k mile motor that has been never opened up, along with the original 14b that I did some mild porting on. I'm also very happy with the power gained under the curve, it feels like somebody threw a 16g under the hood :thumb:

I'm working on gettin the dyno sheets up here.

Questions? comments?

Thanks guys, yea I'm very impressed with the torque too. Feels like a totally different car now. I'm working on getting some dyno sheets for you guys as soon as I can get my hands on a scanner.

i know when i ran my 14b @20psi holdin' all the way through, it was a total different car. Wish i could have dyno'd before i deployed and the turbo took a shit LOL.

What are you tuning with? I didn't see a wideband or logger in your profile. I have almost the exact same setup as you, and I'm using a afc/logger combo to tune 19psi on 93 octane.

I'd hope to be in the same hp/tq area as you, I just haven't dyno'd......

I have a logger, and my buddy said he's getting me a wideband for my birthday :thumb:

I'm tuning with an safc neo, and I love it. The extra tuning points compared to the safc 2 is what sold me on it.

A bunch of friends and I are planning on going to the track Aug. 8th, so we'll see how it goes :sneaky:

-Oh and btw, this is all on 93 octane too

My car did 276.8whp on a 14b. That was tuning with a SAFCII, 550cc injectors,AFPR, Walbro255hp. My car unfortunately had issues the day it was dyno'd. Once they let off the gas the car blew massive amount of smoke from the exhaust, one of the exhaust runners was 100 degrees less than all the others and I was getting up to 9 counts of knock when i viewed my log. There's a link to my dyno sheet in my profile if anyone cares to view.

The 14g is a great turbo, It can lay down alot of power

This was all done at a shop my buddy works at in Franklin Park, it's called P&L Motorsports. And no, I don't have a wideband installed yet. I'll try to get a dyno sheet up here for you guys. My air/fuel was between 10.8-11.3 most of the time.

Yea I did all of the tuning myself. I've done all the work on my car myself, with the exception of the clutch and flywheel, I just didnt feel like doing it on jackstands in my garage.
