My GS 300 has an aftermarket kit, but installed by the previous owner. Is the rating (4300, 6000, etc) written on the ballasts? I'd like to know which one i have. It's a nice blue color, kinda like what Kyle posted. LOOKS PIMP, now i just need to source some yellow fog housings, i got the clear ones.

I don't remember seeing mine listed anywhere, although I wasn't exactly looking for it either.

LOL the ballast has nothing to do with the kelvin rating of the bulb. Good oem bulbs will have a model # on them but cheap china bulbs won't have anything written on them. Considering you can't get two china bulbs with the same k even though there rated at the same k you will just have to use your best judgment in determining the kelvin rating.

Why don't you go with a 3000K HID kit for your fogs? 3000K's are a light amber.

Hid kits are pretty expensive aren't they? I just want the signature lexus yellow fogs which is achieved by just having the yellow fog housings. I posted a wtb ad on clublexus, just waiting for somebody selling them.

I am rebuilding my talon right now so not trying to spend alot of money on not so necessary stuff.

I have the 6k's on mine. I kinda wish I went with something in the 5k instead. The blue is nice but I wish for brighter. Oh yeah, amber streetlights rape my HIDs. I can't even see the light from them when I'm on the highway.
