you are right about the light output. they are not nearly as bright as i thought they would be but i didnt want to get the blue or white ones, they're way too popular here and i wanted to be a bit different. and thanks for the help

this isnt that good of a pic but it will do

12k is actually a lot less 'bright' than a standard 4500k HID kit. You need to look at the knobs on your headlights and adjust your light level DOWN! I run HID's and love them. Very minimal glare and doesn't blind anyone after I adjusted it.

god 1200k the visibility on those must suck. i have 8k and wish i went 6k. ohh well yeah what he said i hate when i see lifted f350 with 10k and up in the headlights fog lights and every other light they have.

I run an 8000k in my Expedition. Projector beams with a cutoff though so it's not too terrible. I also run a 75w bulb in the fogs to go along with them. Pretty good lighting even though my housings aren't the best.

I have a 6000k kit in my daily 1gb car. I kind of wish I went with the 4300k kit. The glare isn't horrible, but it deffinatly could be better. I have yet to be flashed by others.

"White lights are way too popular", that's great. LOL

The problem is that is putting looks over function and safety. That colour is on the bleeding edge of human vision. Thats not mentioning the fact that it looks like the HID kit was installed in reflector housings, hence the unsightly and equally dangerous glare.

It seems counter productive to me. HID = more lumens; 12,000k = less visibility.

But hey, I'm not driving around you in Canada.

there actually isnt as much glare as the picture looks like. i have had the kit on for a few weeks now and only got flashed about three times.

heres another pic with a lot less glare
