HEY GUYS,... i just want to say that i SEARCHED like a mad man. This is the first time i'm posting a thread about a problem, i always find an answer through searching first.

My OEM alternator died, i bought another one (autozone:/).. this one was good for weeks untill it started sucking the life outta the battery and not charging it.( after reading many forums, that's my conclusion). I replace that alternator with another one...after 10 mins of installation, the voltage was 14.5 then dropped to 11.2.

I"m thinking it could be a connector plug problem...but i did all the light test on the alter plug, and it passes! HOw can i test my ECU so that i know the voltage regulator is working..??!!?

If you haven't already checked, see if your PS fluid is leaking onto your alternator. If it is, that's probably what killed your first alternator and now this one too.

1.Alternator fuse fine.
2.Belt very tight ( but not too tight)
3. No P.S. fluid leak at all...

What wires do i test on the ECU??
One more thing i notice... A WHINING NOISE FROM THE ALTERNATOR....when i UNPLUG the alter. connector it goes Away...when i plug it back in ..begins to WHINE..(???) I read in the forums that's means it's a bad alternator, but i just installed it 10mins ago...!LOL

OKay i Went to autozone and just replace it with another one...(number 3) ....i'm curious to know if theres anything i should test on the ECU to make sure it's functioning well with the alternator...or is that just for the 1g's....?
