about to get a good deal on some 1000cc injectors and AEROMOTIVE A1000 pump, will my safcII be able to do the job?thanks

i dont think the safc2 can handle that. id say the max for a safc2 is 750s?

HELLL NO!!!

Biggest you can go is 660s on an SAFC

1000cc injectors are 120% bigger than stock, max correction on an SAFC is 50%, im afraid the only way you could run 1000cc injectors is with a standalone such as an AEM EMS.

i just saw you have 720's and a 255??

Why are you asking this question? cause
- I cant believe you're just running a SAFC right now on 720's
- I can't beleive you maxxed out your injectors or fuel pump right now.

I completely agree. I'm seeing about 80% duty cycle on 950's at 30psi on my 2.3/3052 setup on pump gas. I see no reason why your 720's aren't enough for your setup. But other than that, there is no way you can run 1000s with an AFC. However, my 950's idle quite nicely with DSMLink ;).

I was about to say the same thing :D

You run 30 PSI on pump gas?!?!

ya i took the rail off to get it powder coated and figured why not let the injectors soak in some cleaner while im at it, and anyway i droped one on the driveway and broke the plastic thing on the bottom with the two holes in it, that goes into the head u know.so thought might as well get another set for this price. thanks for the responses though.

If you have to ask if you can run 1000cc injectors on an AFC, you aren't ready for 1000cc injectors.

knew ya couldnt with an afc, but figured since safc2 had more functionality it might be able to, but now i know, thanks for wasting everyones time with your useless post. :thumb: oh wait, i meant :thumbdown

I'm going to assume that's directed towards me, and I'd like to hear how you thought an AFC2 could handle it? They both only go to -50%, and that'd be pulling out an absurd amount of air, even if it would work.

Like I said,

I'd laugh at someone running 1000cc's on a stock ECU with a piggyback. When you get 35+* of timing advance at WOT, your engine probably will throw rods.

One option may be to get a Keydiver chip set for the closest injectors size you can get, then fine tune with the SAFC.

Your idle quality will likely suck, assuming it'll idle at all.....

I've idled 750's and 880's on an SAFC, no problems. Retard your base timing a few degrees, it's all good. Double check the timing on a logger to make sure it's not advancing it too hard.

Also, how are you going to hookup your A1000? You're going to need to sump your stock tank and run AN lines, or you could use the in-tank pump to supply to the A1000, but that's kinda rigged.

Can't do that on 2G's, like his ;)
