Last track day of the year and I finally got a 10 second pass!

60' - 1.69
1/4 - 10.97
mph - 125.8

Bolt on HX35, 35psi of boost and a 75 shot to stall the converter. I grabbed the spray in 2nd gear and rode it out the rest of the pass. This is on a practically dead motor too. Cylinder 2 is down to 60psi of compression, cylinder 2 is at 90. I just had to dip into 10's, I've been chasing it for almost a year.

great job, what are you using for ems ?

Jackal speed density software with a freescale 4 bar map sensor.

...wheres the video and how pissed was that old lady at the slip booth? LOL Congrats Dustin!

:dsm:

Dude! I wish I had a video of it! I really didn't expect to run a 10. That lady was alright actually, she must have been in a good mood today LOL

Excuse my noobism but is this on the .55ar BEP? I assume that is what the "bolt on" refers to. I hear people left and right saying that setup wont do 10's. Congrats, I'm impressed. :thumb:

A BIG congrats to you..Great way to end the year..

Nice job. What's up with the 1/8th mile ET? I'm interested to know what it actually was.

Yeah I don't know, it was doing that in the left lane all day. My previous best at my local 1/8th mile track is 6.96 @ 103mph.

Correct, this was on the bep bolt on .55A/R housing.

Sweet job, man.

Your low end's probably fine unless you know otherwise (blowby?)- get a good-sealing head on that beast and you're ready for 2012. :thumb:

I'm pretty sure you're right. The motor doesn't use any oil and doesn't fill up the catch can. Leak down test pointed to an exhaust valve on cylinder #2. Coincidentally, #2 is where my last composite head gasket blew and I didn't have the head checked out, just resurfaced it and threw it back on :ohdamn:

Woot! If I'm not mistaken this is some kind of record. Gives me hope for my Hx35 in the BEP housing. :hellyeah:

EDIT: Before someone gets confused, the time on my profile was on my T25 LOL. I have not been able to run the Holset yet but will next season with a better than OEM clutch and L19's. I cannot wait, oh and congrats once again. Be sure to submit this to the Holset complete setups thread.

Awesome job Dustin!!!

All the pieces finally came together :) As far as I know that makes you the first bolt-on BEP HX35 in the tens :rocks: Great way to end the season.

Thanks Matt, it's about damn time this car touched 10's... even if just barely LOL. Thanks to a little nitrous pick-me-up.

Congrats Dustin.. about freaking time bro. Damn it's going to be a totally different monster with a good running motor.

I know right.. I have a lot of work to do before the tracks open again next year.
