1.8L Maintenence

A friend of mine just got his 1.8 eclipse. It has about 125k on it. What do you guys reccomend for a good tune-up? First off, I know it needs a timing belt(last done at 63k). But what else, and he wants to do a pretty indepth tune-up.

I remember at 120K on my old DL I did all the belts, valve cover gasket, new plugs, new cap and rotor, and new radiator lines. If it's an auto, make sure you get the tranny checked. I neglected to do this and one day it just refused to go into gear despite my wonderfully smooth motor.

I got 2 more questions.

1. It is a 92' Eclipse 1.8L. The body is maroon. Does anyone know an exact color so I can get some touch up paint and fix a few chips it has?

2. Could someone give me a short and simple walkthrough on how to adjust the timing, from the way the plugs looked, it seems to be to far advanced.

Thanks again, sorry to ask such simple questions but I have a 2.0T and they are very different and I don't want to screw anything up on my friends car since I am used to working on 2 liters.

Check around on your labels and stickers from the factory. There should be a paint code listed on one of them. If not, go to local auto store and they can help you look it up. I think I know which color you are talking about though, I'll see what I can dig up.
