Ive been hearing that if I upgrade my engine to the 4g63 2.0l dohc that only the 6-bolt or the 7-bolt will fit my tranny. Any ideas on how I could figure this out?

both are the same, engines, you will need a turbo tranny because your 1.8 tranny wont hold up to the power and it'll probally blow

If he went NT, he can keep the same F5M22 tranny. Some has run this tranny with turbo since the gearing is lower than the F5M33 turbo tranny - due to torque reasons against the body weight allowing more quicker takeoffs on the low end, but wind up quicker towards the top end if a turbo motor is used.

Just that the F5M33 tranny and clutch are more stronger to handle the torque output of the turbo.

Just that with either motor, a complete harness, sensor and ECU changeout is in order.

Thank you very much for this info. I did not know this. The tranny in it now is in great condition from what I could tell before my engine broke down. Shifts very smooth, no noises or grinding, no hard to find gears. You guys think it'll last a little while with a non turbo 4g63? I was planning on going turbo but knowing this really holds me back.
