Hello everyone,
There’s a local CTS-V I’m itching to race and the other day he posted 1/4 time of 9.7.
At first glance I was confused why there was no MPH for the 1/4mi so i took it upon myself to really look at it and I noticed it ran from the 1000ft to 1/4mi mark in half a second. I don’t believe that possible if my math is right, what are the chances the timing system at the track malfunctioned during that run?

If my math is correct he’d need to trap atleast 402mph to cover that distance in that time span given… i provided an example of my math using my brothers timeslip data & a image of the Cts-v’s timeslips

Btw as far as i know it’s a cam/smaller pulley/e85 & supporting mods combo so im familiar with what it SHOULD run

Yeah, it is a timing error. Here is a slip of my run in my 4-door F150 (left) that is quicker than his entire slip except the 1/4. With that being said, those cars can be very fast and it might run that time turned up. I have seen way too many locally run bottom 9s and high 8s.

Byron gets f***y times a couple hours before sunset. Justlike norwalk. Wouldn't suprise me if GLD does too.
how’d you figure it was GLD cause you’re right. Also his pass was around sunset time.
Now i’m debating if i should bring it up to him or let him think he’s got a 9 second V
