Street Build Resurrection of the Red 90 Talon

1990 Eagle Talon TSI trying to save her life from the previous owner and its alot of work but a nice base car. My youngest son, who also races this car has nicknamed her "The Red Baron".

Well it was time to get off of the stock suspension and get something a bit safer when rowing gears in my old red ride. It is only driven thru our town of 9000 or an occasional drive to the local car show 20 miles away (lucky me, they have an E85 station 👍)
I don't know more than I can read about Coilovers but this is what I got. As soon as the temps subside here, I can start using the shop again.
Any and all suggestions/comments/helpful tips are welcomed. Thanks for following and thanks to the members that have chimed in!

Well the 100* weather broke so I can work in the shop again. First up, my 90 Red TSI and her new Coilovers! As I was advised, it is stiffer than the stock setup, not alot of give in the front, which is all I got done today, but that is what it needed. I set them as soft as they can go for a 1st drive when I'm done. I'll post pictures of the back when I do them in the next few days. Until then, the Talon will sit in the lift bay. I need to start looking for a new set of DOT's. 🫤
Thanks for tagging along, Stay Tuned!

All done, all 4 installed amd car test driven!!! I couldn't be HAPPIER 🥰
It rides "stiff", but it is EXACTLY what i needed and expected. I should have done this a long time ago! They are all on the softess of 32 settings and the springs are tight but i can just turn them by hand slightly, unloaded. The car drives wonderful for my use. A few pics (hahaha, eleven, sorry). Proud of myself for doing it MYSELF! When its not 100*+ in my shop, I actually do get shit done. ROFL Its 85* today.

Oh yeah, I narrowly missed Mr Sheriff when I was road "testing".......

You took the words right out of my mouth :thumb:
Time to take her out for a drive now that the weather around here has turned into turbo weather!

He was coming right at me but was on the other side of the hill, where I turned around. I usually "take a peak" at the top of the crest before any "testing".....but  :thumb: thank you car gods 🙏
