Have been working on repairing my 97 GST Spyder, Fixing oil leak on crankshaft seal
Had trouble removing seal so used a drill bit and a screw to get it out, Got it out but noticed a slight dink into the metal assuming from the drillbit going into the seal bore wall.

Is this something I can ignore or something that needs attention? This is my first ever car and my first time working on it so im very lost.

Solution
That's not where it seals, so doesn't affect sealing. Just clean dirt and debris carefully, not to let them go inside crankcase, then put the new one.
