3D Parts Files

THIS THREAD IS MEANT TO BE FOR PART FILES TO BE ADDED, NOT TUTORIALS OR A GUIDE !

Discussion/Request Thread https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/3d-parts-discussion-requests.548798/

In order to help the community, I thought it would be a great idea to have a main thread with all 3D print parts.
You need to specify the model, make of the car and some photos of the part (It would be great if you will post a photo with how the 3d printed part fits on the car).

It would be good if everyone who works in the field and models and prints 3D parts, post them here, so that we can give everyone the opportunity to complete their cars!

I just want to say you guys are kicking ass on posting 3d models. I'm definitely interested in trying some out.

"Hard" shifter base bushings for a 1990 shifter. These will probably work on other models. Print 8 of them and install to really lock that shifter base into the car!!! I didn't torque these down crazy hard, you may want to print as solid.

STL included below.

you could print these out of TPU to retain some amount of stiffness without being completely rigid.

Here's my attempt at the retaining tab inside of the door cards of a 1Gb (this is the "tall" one nearest to the speaker, the rest of them are shorter so the model would have to be modified for those)

Replacement insert for the "coin holder" on a 1Gb. It is designed to fit a bass adjustment knob for a Recoil RED1800.5 amp, as well as this panel mount USB 3.0 port from Amazon which I ran to the head unit for Android Auto but I could maybe see it being useful to hook up to ECMLink too or just phone charging maybe?

The USB port didn't fit perfect, still was a little wobbly so I had to glue it in, so this could use some tweaking.

The .zip file is of the assembly which should have all (9) individual components included.

I’m actually designing some right now in the afternoons after work and hope to have a full 3D printed Bushing kit for 1gs and 2gs available for free for all. I’ve printed mine out of TPU and they’re way better than the factory bushings. Will post step files and Before and after video in the coming days. I’m using a combination of Bambu PETG CF and Bambu 90A TPU.

Wow what an amazing compilation of work you guys have here!!!

I’ve saved so many files to start printing.

I have a 2ga shark nose dsm. The part of the side skirt that bolts to the door is missing I’ve only been able to find 2gb skirt cars. Is anyone able to produce a file for the 2ga door skirt? I have cash and I’ll print the prototypes! I’ll be back shortly with a dsm wide body kit I made.

Alright guys, my solidworks license expired so I’m not able to work on these anymore, I created a nearly full set for what I needed and replaced the worn out bushings on my car but some of them aren’t perfect because I was printing mostly with TPU and my printer doesn’t have the best resolution when printing with TPU however everything works and certainly cleaned up a lot of the slop if anyone wants to pickup where I’ve left off and use my work as a baseline to polish and perfect the design I am totally cool with that and will help in anyway I can. Send me a pm and I will send all files in .step & .sldprt (2024version)

I’m not going to say it cleaned up all the slop but it’s definetly better than the worn out factory bushings. There is one shifter bushing my car could benefit from having replaced that I didn’t have time to model and print and I account most of the side to side slop in that lower most shift bushing. But take a look at this video and see for yourself what a set of 90A TPU and petg bushings can do.
